MEET THE TEAM
Tracy ArmstrongIt’s my job to help develop and refine the marketing strategy of the business, implementing effective plans to ensure more event agencies understand the benefits of appointing us to support their live events. I liaise with external suppliers and manage the company’s website, social media output and associated marketing collateral.
I’m responsible for preparing all of our audio equipment and cabling for use at live events. I often work with our technical teams at venues to ensure every word or note is heard. I also maintain all our audio equipment to a high standard and monitor the department’s consumables.
I oversee the finance and accounts teams, with direct responsibility for the company’s financial accounts and monitoring the performance of the business. I also ensure our financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth. Implementing and overseeing our ISO procedures is also in my remit.
I play a key role within the business, maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, whilst producing sales invoices from our bespoke equipment bookings system. My attention to detail comes in handy when I’m checking purchase invoices and raising queries when they occur. I also usually answer the phones, so if you call the office it’s me you’ll probably speak to.
When I’m not representing TechPro to major customers and professional associations, I help develop and then implement the strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives of the business. I’m also responsible for directing our strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company, whilst maintaining our operational performance at peak levels.
I support our Project Managers, responsible for coordinating and managing elements of the delivery of our AV & technical support services to meet clients’ event requirements. It’s a varied role, covering everything from interpreting client briefs and conducting site visits to producing 2D AutoCAD plans and ensuring our H&S compliance.
As part of the Operations team, I’m responsible for preparing and maintaining our lighting equipment, before it goes out to bring the wow to another live event. I also maintain stock of the lighting department’s consumables to ensure everything works straight out of the flight cases.
I’m responsible for planning, co-ordinating and overseeing the activities of the operations department, ensuring our equipment stock is maintained and serviced. I also manage the equipment storage within the warehouse, whilst maintaining an effective and safe working environment in line with our health & safety policy.
Working within the Operations team my main responsibilities are maintaining our equipment stock, along with testing the equipment and cables returning to our warehouse. I also carry out deliveries and collections of equipment, whilst maintaining our fleet of vans, which are so critical to what we do.
I work closely with event agencies and designers to create and deliver project work plans, revising as appropriate to reflect changing needs, before managing the day-to-day operational aspects of every element of our support. I work closely with clients to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project.
I’m one of the Operations team and responsible for ensuring all equipment returned to the warehouse is checked for damage and faults, booking it in for repair when necessary. I also stock-check equipment and cables to ensure accuracy is maintained, whilst monitoring the team’s consumables.
As a co-owner of TechPro, I share responsibility for the overall performance of the business and ensuring the service we deliver to our clients remains unrivalled. Whilst my day to day focus is on the planning and implementation of our operational processes, I’m also responsible for ensuring we have motivated and successful teams. Managing compliance with all our legal obligations also forms part of my remit.
It’s my job to prepare the video equipment and cabling used on the live events we support, which sometimes means overseeing the work of freelance technicians. I also manage and maintain our video equipment to the highest standard, to ensure everything works first time, every time.
Maintaining client relationships and developing new connections is key to our success.
