We’re excited to announce the addition of two critical pieces of lighting infrastructure to our hire stock: the Avolites D3-110 lighting console and Luminex LumiNode Ethernet/DMX processors. The pair work together to bring enterprise-grade lighting control and network flexibility to productions of any complexity.
The Avolites D3-110
The Avolites D3-110 represents a shift in what’s possible from a compact console. Designed specifically for touring, installations and rental applications, it delivers professional-grade lighting control without requiring a dedicated technical truck or sprawling control infrastructure.
What it includes:
- Powered by Titan – Avolites’ industry-leading control software, proven in thousands of professional installations worldwide
- 24 DMX universes – Supporting up to 12,288 channels and unlimited fixtures
- Lightweight form factor – A built-in 12.1″ touchscreen, 10 playback faders, and 3 precision encoder wheels in one self-contained unit
- Touring-ready durability – Built to survive the rigours of repeated transport and demanding production environments
- Seamless integration – Works effortlessly with existing lighting rigs, legacy equipment, and complex architectural installations
The D3-110 is a breakthrough for productions that previously had to choose between portability and capability. Whether you’re lighting a multi-room conference where each space needs independent control, a touring theatre production moving between venues, or a live stage show where flexibility and responsive control are non-negotiable, the D3-110 delivers for all.
The Luminex LumiNode
Professional lighting rigs are increasingly data-driven. Signals need to be merged from multiple sources and DMX needs to be routed across different physical pathways. Legacy DMX infrastructure needs to coexist with modern networked control. This is where the Luminex LumiNode steps in.
The LumiNode is an Ethernet/DMX processor that decouples your control data from physical DMX ports. Instead of being limited by how many XLR ports your console has, or struggling to daisy-chain DMX across a large venue, the LumiNode lets you route, merge and distribute DMX/RDM data across a network environment with complete flexibility.
Key capabilities:
- Advanced DMX merging and routing – Multiple sources, multiple destinations, intelligent prioritisation
- Built-in web UI – Intuitive configuration without requiring specialist software or additional hardware
- VLAN support – Network segmentation for security and performance in complex IT environments
- Gigabit connectivity – Handles demanding data loads without latency or data loss
- Protocol agnostic – Works with DMX, RDM, and modern networked lighting protocols
This is invaluable in touring rigs where you might be connecting different consoles or control systems. It’s essential in fixed installations spanning multiple rooms or zones. And it’s critical in broadcast environments where network infrastructure is already in place and you need to integrate lighting control seamlessly.
How they work together
The real power emerges when the D3-110 and LumiNode work as an integrated system. The console provides intuitive control whilst the LumiNode handles data distribution and network management.
Multiple control positions – Position a D3-110 at each location – main hall, breakout rooms, front-of-house – and use LumiNodes to merge and route their outputs across the venue.
Mixed infrastructure –The LumiNode bridges older DMX-only fixtures with networked modern gear, letting you integrate new technology without replacing legacy systems.
Distributed venues – For conferences spanning multiple rooms or outdoor events with lighting spread across large areas, LumiNodes handle strategic data routing while a D3-110 provides centralised control.
High-channel count – When 12,288 channels isn’t enough, LumiNodes merge multiple D3-110 consoles seamlessly, keeping all outputs synchronised.
TechPro’s Lighting Solutions
The D3-110 and LumiNode deliver professional-grade lighting control for a range of event productions.
