TechPro and ISE in Amsterdam
TechPro is sending a team into Europe, but instead of supporting client events in Paris, Berlin or Barcelona, we’re heading to the Amsterdam RAI conference centre for the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2020 show.
The event from 11-14 Feb is billed as the world’s largest exhibition for the audio visual and systems integration sector, with an agenda that promises to make the show the most compelling yet.
Not only does the event bring together all the best technology and service providers, along with the industry’s leading personalities, but this year it is offering a full professional development programme. Years of experience, but we’re still keen to learn.
This year’s event is expected to see more than 100,000 attendees, who will undoubtedly take in a few seminars, in between visiting some of the almost 1300 exhibitors.
Education is sound
One reason for our visit is for one of our audio technicians to learn more about Dante, an uncompressed, multi-channel digital media networking technology created by specialist developer and supplier Audinate.
Our technicians spend a lot of time setting up audio systems for live events, typically using long runs of heavy multicore cables to connect input and output devices, via our digital sound desks. But Dante replaces these cables with simple network cabling.
The ability to integrate media and control our entire system over a standard IP network, typically available in most venues or easily installed, will not only help speed up the set-up process, but help us deliver even more value for our clients.
Once we understand the benefits in detail, we can discuss this solution with the team back in Tamworth and assess the full benefits of this approach to our live event audio set-up, so we can make another informed investment decision.
Although clients often know what they want, they often have to deal with briefs that give no real detail and that’s where our experience comes in, with event agencies expecting us to suggest cost-effective, innovative solutions.
Project a good image
The search for innovation will ensure we do more research on LED walls while in Amsterdam, with so many variations, including panel size, pixel pitch, weight, brightness, etc., there’s a lot to consider before making what is likely to be a considerable investment.
We’ll be meeting with Panasonic, the leading manufacturer of projectors in our view, who will no doubt demonstrate why they lead the way in short-throw and portable projectors, LED LCD displays, video walls and interactive screens.
A growing number of events, with the majority in Europe, will stretch the limits of our stock of quality assured equipment, so again we will take ISE 2020 as an opportunity to decide on our priority purchases for the coming year; everything from loudspeakers to spotlights.
Once again we’ll be seeing what our favourite manufacturers, Barco, Robe, Nexo, Samsung, Clay Paky, Sennheiser and Yamaha have to offer, which we’re confident will be exciting additions to our inventory.
Rotterdam is close
TechPro supports an increasing number of live events across Europe, from healthcare conferences to new product launches and we’re committed to providing the same flawless delivery of live events, wherever they take place.
We opened a facility in Rotterdam in 2019, to hold some of our stock in preparation for its distribution across the continent at a moment’s notice – no waiting for ferries from the UK.
It’s less than an hour from the exhibition centre by car, so we’ll be heading down the A4 to our European HQ, to check we have everything prepared for a couple of events next month.
If any representatives of businesses exhibiting at ISE 2020 happen to catch this blog and want to meet, please get in touch and we’ll arrange a time to drop by your stand and see if your products or services will add value to our clients.
